Hey Guys, I am in the middle of a hectic week so as usual, I am being really lazy about dressing up, wearing the same things over and over again and just favouring easy outfits. I saw these two pieces both hanging on a rail at the same time and they made so much sense together that I just wore them without even thinking. I love the exaggerated hips on the skirt. It creates such a great shape and a tiny waist quiet easily. I paired it with this top that I have had for ever that I recently rediscovered at the bottom of a suitcase. I don’t know even know how it still fits cos I’m sure I have gained a considerable amount of weight in the past 2 years. Not that I’m complaining. I added the red lips to this look to make it look like I was trying.

In other news, I shot a feature for the Guardian Newspaper’s website, as part of an African fashion special, they are running this week. Its now live on their website so go check it out guys. I would like to take this opportunity to say a big Thank you to the lovely Rosie Swash, the online fashion editor of the Guardian, who gave me this amazing opportunity, and the beautiful Alicia Canter, who took the pictures and was a joy to hang out with. Thank you guys so much and to the Guardian life and style.

Happy Monday guys. Sorry about the lack of post last week. I was very swamped and just really exhausted, but this week shouldn’t be as exhausting so regular posting resumes. I took quite a few pictures over the last week so you’ll be seeing those over next couple of posts.
I’ve been favoring outfits that don’t need much thought over the last week. It was very much, grab the first thing you see and throw it on kind of week. Like in this outfit, the flares were on top my jeans drawer, I grabbed them without thinking. It was only after I’d left the house that I remembered that I don’t like them because it sits too low on the waist and the legs are a bit short. That was very uncomfortable but I had no choice but to make it work. Jacket and bag from CJAJ09, flares from Newlook UK.
Hope you guys all had a great weekend and an even better week ahead. Thank you all for stopping by.

Sorry about the lack of posting over the past 2 weeks. Between my laptop breaking down and my phone acting up and my camera still being on holiday, blogging had to be put on hold. I tried to blog from my friend’s house last week, but somehow, I think my presence in her house messed with the internet. And it still hasn’t been fixed. But laptop is back and camera is slowly recovering so regular programming resumes now.
I’ve had a lot of this fabric for quiet a while and haven’t been really sure what to do with it. I’ve been wanting a cocoon style top and after seeing Karla over at Karla’s Closet in a vintage cape top, I was sold on one just like it and the fabric was perfect for it. According to my mum, this style is Pata Pata in Ghana. Well, i’m all pata pata-ed up and loving it.
Well wishing everyone a fruitful August. Enjoy what’s left of the summer, I intend to.

Congratulations to Shay for winning this bag. Firstly, we loved how Shay picked colors which played off the bag whilst not distracting from the bag. Her look is perfect for summer but can also translate well into autumn and we are loving the slight boho chic feel. This is a look I personally love and can totally see myself wearing. What about you? would you wear it????
Well done shay, just check your email for what happens next and better luck next time to all those who entered. Stay tuned for more. And happy Monday guys.
