Prepped For St Trinians

Remember my little glue DIY project fom a few weeks ago? Well, I finally wore it. Wanted the shoes to be the center of the outfit so kept everything else dark. The necktie was an afterthought but i figure it worked OK. Its actually a belt that came with a skirt from Zara, but the thank God for recycling, its all about a little imagination. I imagine this is the kind of outfit a modern day rebellious St Trinians girl would wear.

Blazer is a charity shop find. shoes are DIY-ed by yours faithfully

Word of advice:if you are going to attempt this kind of project, don’t use cheap glue that dries hard, otherwise your shoes will be impossible to walk in due to very scratchy insides. That’s why i’m wearing the socks.

Update: entered pretty shiny sparkly‘s bloggers do it better challenge and on the African Runway.

  1. The all black really does feature the shoes. You have such amazing legs, I’d like to see the shoes without the socks!

I’d love it if you would stop by and see how a 45+ year old handles “Prep School”—you might find something to smile about anyway! See you there! http://stillblondeafteralltheseyears.com/2011/05/menswear-american-prep-outfits-modeled-by-women-over-45-bloggers-do-it-better/
